About the role#
Matrox Imaging is hiring an intern for a Software Quality Assurance position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Dorval, Quebec, to help ensure the quality of our software products.
What you'll do#
- Test the reliability, functionality, and performance of our Software Development Kit and video drivers.
- Help create, update, and validate test plans across various operating systems.
- Log test results in Test Rail.
- Report functional and performance issues using Jira.
- Work with the engineering team to reproduce and resolve product-related bugs.
What you'll need#
- Current student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Completed at least 30 credits.
- GPA of 2.9/4.3 or 2.6/4.0 or higher.
- Experience with Windows 10, 11, and various Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with PC hardware and the ability to swap components safely.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Good communication skills in English and French.
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and a professional work ethic.
- Knowledge of networking tools, the OSI model, and networking architectures is helpful.
- Scripting and debugging skills, along with basic knowledge of video technology, are considered assets.
