    About the role#

    This Media Relations Internship with the Metropolitan Action Commission helps share the organization's mission through storytelling and public relations. You will assist in digital marketing efforts to promote opportunities for area youth. This is a paid, on-site role based in Nashville.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage social media platforms and assist with content creation.
    • Monitor social media accounts daily to ensure timely, appropriate interaction with followers.
    • Help develop resources and opportunities focused on employability for young people.
    • Assist with digital marketing and messaging tasks.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and copywriting ability.
    • An advanced understanding of public relations is preferred.
    • Experience or interest in video and audio production is a plus.
    • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies is relevant to this role.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm, not to exceed 20 hours per week.
    • Pay: $18.00 per hour.
    • Dress code: Business professional.
    • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
