    About the role#

    The Metropolitan Action Commission is looking for a Social Media Intern to join the Communications Department. You will help develop content and campaigns across our agency platforms while upholding our core values of teamwork and respect. This position is part of the Tennessee Youth Employment Program.

    What you'll do#

    • Create social media content and campaigns under supervision.
    • Write captions tailored to our target audiences.
    • Capture photos and assist with video production.
    • Monitor engagement daily to ensure timely and appropriate interactions with followers.
    • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
    • Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
    • Enrollment in or recent study of Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Media Studies, or Journalism.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
    • Modality: On-site at our office.
    • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm, not to exceed 20 hours per week.
    • Pay: $18.00 per hour.
    • Dress code: Business professional.
