About the role#
Meyer Contracting is hiring Field Engineer Interns for the Summer 2027 season. This is a full-time, paid position based in Maple Grove, Minnesota. You will work on-site to support highway and heavy construction projects, including earthwork, underground utilities, and concrete foundations.
What you'll do#
- Ensure project engineering activities meet contract and company requirements.
- Support construction planning, execution, and quality control.
- Coordinate with on-site crews to maintain safety, monitor schedules, and track productivity.
- Perform bid takeoffs and use Agtek software for modeling and dirt takeoffs.
- Track and report daily labor, quantities, and work progress.
- Manage subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with contracts.
- Deliver bid packages and assist with additional project tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- You are willing to travel and work in the field, including extended hours when needed.
- Experience with HeavyJob, GPS, or CADD software is a plus.
- You are organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

- Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour, paid weekly.
