About the role#
As a DRAM Dry Etch Process Development Intern, you will work on advanced plasma etch technologies that support future memory scaling and device performance. You will join the research and development team to gain hands-on experience with semiconductor etch processes. Under the mentorship of experienced engineers, you will complete a technical project involving experimentation and data analysis. At the end of the internship, you will present your findings and recommendations to technical teams and leadership.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop solutions for next-generation memory technologies and dry etch processes.
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments to improve etch performance, manufacturability, and product quality.
- Perform statistical analysis on manufacturing data to identify trends, process opportunities, and root causes.
- Collaborate with process, equipment, and integration teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Use AI-enabled tools, data-driven methods, or programming solutions to improve engineering efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Must be enrolled in an academic program throughout the internship.
- Knowledge of dry etch semiconductor processing, plasma physics, or related fabrication technologies.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, statistical methods, or engineering research.
- Familiarity with tools such as Python, MATLAB, JMP, or data visualization software.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate within multi-functional teams.
