About the role#
The Thin Films Process Development Engineering team focuses on developing and optimizing advanced thin film deposition and metallization processes. These processes are essential for memory scaling and improving device performance in DRAM manufacturing. You will work alongside experienced engineers on technical projects involving process development, data analysis, and technology innovation. This internship offers exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom operations, and engineering methodologies.
What you'll do#
- Support the development, optimization, and characterization of advanced thin film deposition and metallization processes.
- Design and implement experiments using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
- Perform statistical analysis to evaluate process performance and drive improvements.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize process and metrology data to identify trends and engineering opportunities.
- Collaborate with process, integration, equipment, metrology, and product engineering teams to investigate process excursions and support technology development.
- Develop and use data analytics methods or automation solutions to improve process monitoring and engineering productivity.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, statistical methods, or engineering research projects.
- Knowledge of materials characterization, semiconductor processing, or thin films.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
