About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Internal Audit team at MISO during the summer of 2027. You will work with managers and mentors to gain experience in risk mitigation and compliance, including exposure to Entity Level and Sarbanes-Oxley audits. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Carmel, Indiana.
What you'll do#
- Perform control testing and evaluate business processes.
- Document audit evidence to support team findings.
- Contribute to risk mitigation and compliance efforts.
- Work alongside a manager, mentor, and cross-departmental contacts.
- Participate in lunch and learn sessions, community service, and networking events.
- Complete a final project presentation to summarize your work and recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or Data Science.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A desire to learn from an experienced audit team.
- Note that this role does not offer visa sponsorship, including OPT or CPT.
