About the role#
MNP is looking for a Co-op Accountant to join the Assurance and Accounting team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Mitchell, Ontario.
What you'll do#
You will build technical experience in audits, reviews, compilations, tax, and bookkeeping. Your daily work involves preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. You will perform walk-throughs with clients for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital asset transactions. You will also investigate discrepancies in financial documents and correct them as needed. The role requires flexibility to travel when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Completion of or progress toward a bachelor degree in business administration, commerce, accounting, or finance.
- Progress toward meeting prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience, customer service background, or familiarity with accounting and tax software are considered assets for this role.
