About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op Student for the Assurance and Accounting team in Prince George. This is a full-time, paid position running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work on-site to assist our team in providing financial information and advisory services to our clients.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, compilations, reviews, tax, and bookkeeping.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial summaries.
- Investigate and fix discrepancies in financial records.
- Draft technical reports, client summaries, and presentations to communicate findings.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards.
- Collaborate with engagement teams and maintain client relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progress toward meeting prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience in an accounting role is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Prince George, British Columbia.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Salary: $47,000 to $49,000 per year.
