About the role#
As an Intern with the Assurance and Accounting team, you will work with professionals to provide financial information and support to clients. This role involves building relationships with client contacts and collaborating with your engagement team to help businesses make informed decisions.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, tax, and bookkeeping.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports by collecting and summarizing data.
- Review financial documents to investigate and correct irregularities or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and maintain professional relationships with clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progress toward meeting the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Ability to work on-site in Kenora.
- Experience in an accounting office, customer service, or with tax and accounting software is considered an asset.

- Compensation: $20 to $23 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship with rolling terms.
