About the role#
The Supplier Quality Intern will support the team in evaluating supplier performance and analyzing quality metrics. This role provides hands-on exposure to supplier quality processes and data-driven decision making within a global chemical manufacturing environment. You will work on identifying improvement opportunities and developing reporting tools to support management decisions.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze supplier quality and performance data from various sources.
- Evaluate performance trends regarding quality, delivery, responsiveness, and corrective actions.
- Assist in root cause analysis of supplier responses to performance scorecards.
- Review and update supplier master data to ensure each supplier has a designated quality contact.
- Drive and support the raw material Out of Specification (OOS) inflow reduction process.
- Complete reports and presentations that outline your analysis, findings, and recommendations.
- Support supplier corrective action tracking and follow-up activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to document new processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis tools is a plus.
- An interest in quality, manufacturing, and supply chain operations for a chemical plant.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks between May and August 2027.
- Enrollment in an academic program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the internship.
