About the role#
As an Embedded Software Engineer Graduate Co-op at MORSE Corp, you will work on software development to support hardware and software integration or Unmanned Aircraft Systems R&D programs. You will participate in the full engineering design cycle from initial concept through deployment. This role involves working alongside experts in sensing and control technologies to integrate new capabilities into vehicle platforms and testing them in both lab and field environments.
What you'll do#
- Develop embedded software.
- Update and execute simulation software to test and evaluate new capabilities.
- Interface with subject matter experts to integrate algorithms and subsystems into vehicle platforms.
- Support flight tests, including setup, system checkouts, ground station operation, log retrieval, analysis, and debugging.
- Communicate design status, test results, and suggestions in a timely and efficient manner.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with C/C++, Python, and Rust.
- Experience with RTOS and embedded communication protocols such as UART, I2C, and CAN.
- Experience with control hardware setup, including telemetry harness setup, radio configuration, and power system installation.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- US citizenship is required, and you must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
