About the role#
MORSE Corp is seeking a Network Engineer Graduate Co-op to join our IT and Security team. You will design and implement network and security infrastructure across our corporate environment. This role involves maintaining the security, reliability, and efficiency of our systems. You will also contribute to research and development programs focused on network infrastructure for mission-critical aircraft.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement enterprise-wide network solutions with a focus on security, including firewall management and trust zone models, while maintaining NIST 800-171 compliance.
- Manage network and security projects from initial planning through to final implementation.
- Enhance existing networks by applying expertise in switching, routing, and data flows.
- Conduct technical analysis and planning for the deployment of new technology solutions based on architecture standards.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements for upcoming projects.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Current enrollment in a MS program for Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience designing, building, and monitoring LAN, MAN, WAN, internet, VPN, WiFi, and data center network environments.
- A strong understanding of modern data center network design in both internal and cloud environments.
- Experience deploying and managing load balancers, remote access VPNs, and Next Gen Firewalls.
- Practical knowledge of routing protocols, Layer 3 segmentation, and advanced routing.
- Proficiency with Aruba Wireless, Fortigate Firewalls, Extreme Networks, and Cisco switching.
- Ability to analyze network communications at the packet level.
- Skills in coding or scripting such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
