About the role#
This internship supports the Mount Sinai Health System Inventory Planning and Procurement team. You will assist in managing medication replenishment across the health system. The role focuses on process improvements and strategic initiatives to ensure the right products reach patients at the right time.
What you'll do#
- Support the deployment of inventory management practices to improve drug availability and cost efficiency.
- Perform data analytics and reporting to generate insights for supply chain performance.
- Research and benchmark best practices in pharmacy supply chain optimization.
- Participate in the ideation, deployment, and implementation of system supply chain initiatives.
- Assess and improve procure-to-pay and inventory management workflows.
- Focus on areas including medication shortage mitigation, pharmacy stockroom automation, and pharmaceutical contracting.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Preferred knowledge of inventory management software.
