    About the role#

    This is a paid pharmacy internship at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The program begins in Summer 2027 and is open exclusively to Ohio State University PharmD candidates in the Class of 2030. You will engage in professional development, clinical rotations, and hands-on patient care to build your pharmacy skill set.

    What you'll do#

    • Dispense medications and provide patient counseling.
    • Manage patient profiles and review them for potential complications before dispensing.
    • Prepare and compound hazardous and non-hazardous nonsterile products in compliance with USP 795 and 800 standards.
    • Interpret and enter outpatient prescriptions while managing billing and patient charges.
    • Complete assigned projects, such as topic discussions, clinical rotations, and presentations.

    What you'll need#

    • Active enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
    • Eligibility for a State Board of Pharmacy Intern License.
    • Ongoing competency and knowledge as an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician I.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Main Campus, Columbus, Ohio.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: You must be available for weekday evenings, weekends, and scheduled holidays. The position requires working up to 15 hours per week during the semester.
