About the role#
The Risk Engagement Division (RED) partners with Enterprise Risk and business stakeholders to strengthen risk culture and support organizational readiness. We provide the tools, training, and resources to help employees understand their role in managing risk. As a Summer Associate, you will support projects that research best practices, document internal processes, execute communications, and build user-friendly web experiences. This is a 12-week, full-time internship program running from May 2027 to August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Draft and publish internal communications.
- Research and implement AI tools and UX strategies.
- Develop process improvement strategies, including documentation and intake forms.
- Compile communication metrics and engagement data for reporting.
- Assist with stakeholder communication plans and schedules.
- Coordinate meetings, take notes, and track action items for change initiatives.
- Create and format presentations, infographics, templates, and job aids.
- Organize and maintain asset libraries.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Design, Composition/Rhetoric, Journalism, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Experience compiling metrics and preparing reports.
- AI fluency.
- A positive attitude and openness to feedback.
- Interest in change management, employee engagement, or business operations is preferred.
- Experience with project coordination, event planning, graphic design, SharePoint, or content creation is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Vienna, Virginia.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET.
