About the role#
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship running from May 2027 to August 2027. You will join the Lending Strategy team, which acts as a bridge between Lending and the Member Strategy Office. This role focuses on the Emerging Trends and Technology team, working alongside the AI Working Group to deploy solutions that improve operational speed and member service.
What you'll do#
- Monitor emerging technologies and AI advancements relevant to Lending.
- Apply quantitative and qualitative research to generate strategic insights.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and analyze process documentation.
- Develop business cases and future-state strategies.
- Create project plans and milestone frameworks.
- Use data storytelling and visualization to present findings to leadership.
- Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive strategic transformation.
- Identify technology trends and assess their business implications.
- Design studies to evaluate the impact of AI pilots.
- Perform audits of business processes to find opportunities for AI transformation.
- Create frameworks to evaluate AI use cases and guide investment decisions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to drive projects forward by engaging stakeholders across all levels.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI concepts.
- Knowledge of banking or financial services industry trends is a plus.

- Locations: Vienna, VA and Pensacola, FL.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
