About the role#
Neighborhood Healthcare offers a full-time externship for students currently enrolled in a medical assistant program at one of our partnership schools. This role provides hands-on clinical experience in a community health setting. You will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals to support patient care and gain practical exposure to daily clinical tasks.
What you'll do#
You will focus on back office support to assist our clinical team. Your responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients
- Taking vital signs
- Administering injections as applicable
- Assisting with medical procedures
- Updating electronic health records
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a medical assistant program at one of our partnership schools
- Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- A professional and dependable approach to clinical work
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred
