About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship at Nemacolin. You will work within a luxury hospitality environment to learn the creative and business sides of resort retail. The role involves hands-on experience with guest engagement, buying, inventory management, and event planning. You will also complete an experiential project focused on your professional development goals.
What you'll do#
- Engage with guests across multiple retail locations while building product knowledge.
- Contribute to visual merchandising initiatives and maintain retail environments.
- Assist with vendor correspondence, product research, order follow-up, and buying activities.
- Support receiving, product organization, inventory tracking, and product management.
- Help coordinate trunk shows, fashion shows, brand activations, and other special events.
- Provide administrative support to the retail team.
- Complete an experiential project connected to your academic or professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current second- or third-year student at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in merchandising, textile and apparel merchandising (TAM), marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent English language proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette and the ability to multitask while using computer programs.
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to a consecutive 12-week, full-time schedule.
- Continuous authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.
