About the role#
The Falkirk Mining Company is hiring an Information Technology Systems Intern to support our technology infrastructure. This program is for students currently pursuing a degree who have completed a portion of their coursework and intend to graduate after the internship. You will work with our Information Systems team to develop applications and maintain our technical environment. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, requiring you to wear personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, and a respirator.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop applications to improve business processes.
- Manage network and server administration tasks.
- Configure and deploy workstations.
- Support field technologies, including drones, radios, and high precision GPS.
- Maintain computer equipment and peripherals.
- Manage local inventory and software licenses.
- Follow MSHA laws, company safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Information Systems or related program.
- Good academic standing and progress toward your degree.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to provide and wear your own steel-toed shoes.
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check and a Job Function Test.

- Schedule: Full-time.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August) or Fall 2027 (May to December).
- Compensation: $25.88 to $29.11 per hour.
