About the role#
NorthWest Arkansas Community College is building a pool of applicants for part-time and substitute instructors to teach COLL 1001: Student Success. This is a rolling application process for the fiscal year ending June 30. When positions open, the department reviews the applications on file.
What you'll do#
- Design and deliver instruction for day, evening, weekend, and online classes.
- Handle all student assessment and grading.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with students, college staff, and administrators.
What you'll need#
- A Master's degree in any field.
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- Ability to use an online learning platform.
- Previous teaching experience, ideally in higher education, is preferred.
- Experience with leadership at a community college or similar educational institution is a plus.
- Experience or interest in project-based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning will be given special consideration.

- Location: Benton County, Arkansas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $765 per credit hour.
- Status: Part-time.
