    About the role#

    We are looking for students in welding and assembly, metal construction, or high-pressure welding to join our team for a paid internship. You will work 40 hours per week under the supervision of industry experts. This role offers hands-on experience on real maritime projects with the potential for future employment opportunities. We provide all necessary personal protective equipment and training in health, safety, and environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn the fundamentals of ship construction and repair.
    • Practice welding using various processes in all positions.
    • Read and interpret detailed technical plans.
    • Operate a variety of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools.
    • Perform maintenance tasks including grinding, sandblasting, and painting.
    • Attend meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental management systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current or completed training relevant to welding.
    • A strong desire to learn and apply new skills.
    • Previous experience with manual labor in outdoor environments.
    • High levels of motivation and reliability.

    • Location: Les Méchins, Quebec, Canada.
    • Work schedule: 40 hours per week.
