About the role#
As a summer 2027 engineering intern with the Water/Wastewater team, you will perform hands-on work on projects related to water supply, treatment, and distribution, as well as wastewater collection and treatment. You will work on infrastructure such as sanitary sewer piping, pump stations, water storage tanks, and treatment facilities. This role provides real-world experience to help you bridge the gap between your classroom studies and your future career.
What you'll do#
- Provide project design using CAD and modeling software.
- Perform technical analysis and write reports.
- Prepare construction documents.
- Assist during the construction phase of projects.
- Conduct research to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a civil, environmental, or related engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team.

- Compensation: $22 to $26 per hour.
