About the role#
Forward Deployed Software Engineers work directly with customers to understand complex problems and build technical solutions. You will own projects from start to finish, acting much like a full-time engineer. Your work involves everything from architecture discussions and data wrangling to building custom web applications and shaping project strategy. You will contribute to high-stakes outcomes that our customers rely on for their operations.
What you'll do#
- Work in small teams with minimal supervision to execute end-to-end projects.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers, product teams, and Deployment Strategists.
- Engage directly with customer executives to understand their needs.
- Solve technical problems using data structures, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- Apply creativity and technical skills to help organizations use their data for real-world impact.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, or Engineering fields.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal direction.
- Comfort collaborating with both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Willingness to undergo a US government background investigation.
- Interest in traveling to client sites, with 25-50% travel preferred.
- Current standing as a student planning to graduate in 2027, with this as your final internship.
