    About the role#

    The Pima County Department of Finance & Risk Management is hiring an intern for our Grants Finance Division. This position offers hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of grant financial management. You will work in a team-oriented environment and gain exposure to County financial systems and processes.

    What you'll do#

    • Support grant financial activities across various County departments.
    • Extract and analyze data using Excel and other financial tools.
    • Assist with grant budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance support.
    • Perform a variety of administrative, operational, or technical tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior, or recent graduation from an accredited college or university.
    • A major in accounting, finance, business administration, business analytics, or a closely related field.
    • Strong analytical skills and an interest in public sector finance and grant administration.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with financial systems and Excel.
    • Experience with grant budgeting, financial reporting, data analysis, or compliance support is preferred.

    • This is an on-site, in-office internship located in Tucson, Arizona.
    • The role is paid and classified as unclassified service.
