About the role#
The Government of Nova Scotia is hiring students for the Summer 2026 term through the Future Opportunity Stream. These positions provide hands-on experience in corporate services, business disciplines, and professional functions. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support the delivery of government programs and services.
What you'll do#
Depending on your assigned department and interests, your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting recruitment, staffing, and onboarding activities in HR roles.
- Processing payments, validating vendor information, and reviewing financial documents in Finance roles.
- Performing data entry, organizing financial files, and maintaining records in Accounting roles.
- Assisting with procurement activities and analyzing data to support internal operations.
- Supporting project management initiatives and research in Business Analysis roles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a postsecondary program related to Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources.
- A plan to return to your studies in the next academic term.
- An enthusiastic and motivated approach to learning.
- A desire to apply classroom knowledge to meaningful, real-world work.
