About the role#
This position supports the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) instructional program. You will work under the supervision of teachers to provide educational support, behavior management, and clerical assistance throughout the school day.
What you'll do#
- Reinforce instruction for individuals and small groups.
- Assist with clerical tasks like grading papers, taking attendance, and filing.
- Supervise students during meal times, field trips, and bus loading.
- Prepare instructional materials, bulletin boards, and art projects.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with school staff and parents.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Sixty college credit hours, an Associate's degree, or a passing score on the Para Pro exam.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Interest in working with exceptional children.
- Bilingual or biliterate skills are preferred.
