About the role#
We are looking for candidates to join our team as a Quantum Applications Intern. You will contribute to our efforts in applying quantum computing to real-world challenges, with a focus on areas like chemistry, drug design, materials science, and fluid dynamics. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Develop quantum algorithms to solve impactful problems.
- Optimize ubiquitous subroutines in fault-tolerant quantum algorithms.
- Compile quantum algorithms to logical gate sets.
- Incorporate architecture-aware optimizations.
- Estimate quantum resources.
What you'll need#
- You are currently studying for, or have completed, a postgraduate degree in quantum algorithms, quantum circuit compilation, fault tolerance, or a related field.
- Alternatively, you have 5+ years of professional experience in one or more of these areas.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Experience using collaborative software development tools like Git.
- A creative approach to problem solving and the ability to work effectively in a team.
