About the role#
As a Risk Services Co-op, you will join our IT Audit team to help assess and strengthen the technology controls that support the reliability and security of client information systems. You will work alongside experienced professionals to evaluate IT environments, systems, and processes that underpin financial reporting and business operations. This role provides exposure to IT general controls, cybersecurity measures, data integrity, and system implementations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct audit work efficiently while meeting established timelines and budgets.
- Maintain constant communication with the lead advisor or director regarding your assignments.
- Document audit evidence clearly and validate its quality.
- Analyze how identified control deficiencies impact financial data and the overall audit strategy.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the department and with clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program with progress toward Canadian CPA prerequisite courses.
- Proficiency in both French and English, in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing environment.
- Strong analytical, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in learning about IT risks, internal controls, and control frameworks.
