About the role#
Qualified Health is looking for a Medical Scribe Intern to join our clinical team. You will help us evaluate, label, and review the outputs of our Generative AI products. You will work directly with our physicians to compare AI-generated content against clinical standards. This role provides insight into how clinical AI is tested for safety and accuracy before it is used in patient care. You will receive direct mentorship and feedback from our physicians as you help shape our evaluation processes.
What you'll do#
- Perform quality assurance, evaluation, and labeling tasks on GenAI outputs based on written instructions.
- Review clinical content generated by AI for accuracy and completeness.
- Document your reasoning for evaluations clearly and consistently.
- Apply consistent judgment across your work according to defined rubrics.
- Handle protected health information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Communicate questions and blockers to the overseeing physician.
What you'll need#
- At least 3 months of experience as a medical scribe or comparable clinical experience, such as nursing, EMT, or medical assistant work.
- Working fluency in medical terminology and clinical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain your reasoning in writing.
- Ability to work 20 to 40 hours per week.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role based in Palo Alto, California.
- You must be able to work onsite in Palo Alto 3 days per week.
- The internship term is Fall 2026.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
