    About the role#

    The Queens District Attorney's Office offers a legal internship for the Fall 2026 term. This program provides law students with experience in prosecutorial work. Interns work alongside prosecutors to gain insight into the office operations. This is an unpaid, part-time position.

    What you'll do#

    Interns are assigned to a specific bureau and engage in various aspects of legal work. Responsibilities include:

    • Researching and writing assignments for pending cases
    • Handling motion and discovery practice
    • Assisting with search warrant applications
    • Observing civilian and police interviews and proffers
    • Making court appearances under the student practice order
    • Visiting crime scenes
    • Participating in community outreach
    • Attending divisional and office-wide legal training sessions

    What you'll need#

    Applicants must be current law students. Criminal Justice majors are encouraged to apply.

    • Location: Kew Gardens, New York
    • Term: September 2026 through December 2026
    • Schedule: On-site, 12 to 15 hours per week
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship
