About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op opportunity for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will join the CH-53K program team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position requires you to work on-site, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory for program access.
What you'll do#
- Learn to capture and peer review requirements for AMS cockpit avionics.
- Decompose and allocate requirements to specific domains within Collins Aerospace.
- Create test procedures to verify requirements.
- Execute requirements-based, robustness, and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment. Note that formal test phases may require schedule flexibility.
- Work as a member of an Agile development team alongside professional engineers.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, continuing through the end of the co-op.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience or coursework in requirements capture, definition, integration, and verification testing.
- Basic knowledge of tools such as DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, and the ALM suite.
- Previous exposure to aerospace engineering environments or configuration management tools.
