    About the role#

    The Turbine Aerodynamics & Cooling department manages the aerodynamic design and performance of gas turbines. This internship focuses on bridging the gap between predictive modeling and physical thermal measurements. You will gain hands-on experience with CFD tools and contribute to the validation of turbine performance data.

    What you'll do#

    • Model the turbine section of the engine.
    • Compare CFD results against engine test data, including thermal paint tests.
    • Identify opportunities to improve current modeling methods.
    • Support the validation of TARAS 3.0.
    • Re-organize the Turbine Aerodynamics & Cooling SharePoint site.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
    • Pursuit of a degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of bachelor-level experience.
    • Eligibility to work in Canada.
    • Working knowledge of English to handle technical documentation and international communication.
    • Strong skills in problem solving, teamwork, and time management.
    • Assets include experience with 3D mesh generation software (Fluent Meshing, ICEM-CFD) and 3D flow solvers (CFX, Fluent, STAR CCM+).

    Location & details#

    • Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 5 to April 23, 2027).
    • Modality: Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday with flexible hours.
    • Compensation: Paid internship.
    • Note: The offer is conditional upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and obtaining necessary clearances for handling controlled goods.
