    About the role#

    As a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Toronto, you will support the team responsible for the development, test, and maintenance of reaction wheel and star tracker products. You will work alongside mentors and department staff to apply engineering concepts to real hardware challenges. This is a full-time, on-site position for the Winter 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical components.
    • Collaborate with mentors and team members to solve technical challenges.
    • Attend regular 1:1 meetings to provide progress updates and receive feedback.
    • Participate in company tech talks and networking events.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a bachelor’s program for Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
    • At least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
    • Experience designing parts and assemblies using CAD software like Solidedge or Solidworks.
    • Experience preparing engineering drawings.
    • Hands-on experience with mechanical components and assemblies.
    • A minimum of 3 months of applied engineering experience.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or above.

    Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.5 or higher, 6 months of applied engineering experience, and experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, structural or thermal finite element analysis, and Python.

    • Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (16 consecutive weeks beginning January 4, 2027).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $60,008 CAD per year.
    • Employment status: Paid, full-time.
