    About the role#

    As an Additive Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work on the development, validation, and scaling of additive manufacturing processes. You will support the design and readiness reviews of mechanical systems, help integrate new production technologies, and maintain operational documentation. This role involves working across hardware and software teams to solve manufacturing challenges and drive engineering decisions through data analysis.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the design, development, and readiness reviews of mechanical and manufacturing systems.
    • Build software tools and run data analyses to inform engineering and manufacturing decisions.
    • Develop, improve, and validate in-house additive manufacturing processes.
    • Author and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for production operations.
    • Evaluate and integrate new equipment or technologies to support production quality.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in CAD software with the ability to generate engineering drawings.
    • Experience using Python or similar coding environments to analyze data.
    • Demonstrated ability to define and implement a process from scratch.
    • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including thermodynamics and materials behavior.
