    About the role#

    The Construction Design and Delivery team builds the infrastructure that supports rocket production. As an intern, you will contribute to the design of facilities and test stands while managing projects from initial concept through to final construction and commissioning. You will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects meet operational requirements and safety codes.

    What you'll do#

    • Design facilities and infrastructure for advanced propulsion test stands.
    • Create 3D models, fabrication drawings, fluid P&IDs, and equipment layouts.
    • Assist with project management tasks including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Apply MEP design principles to manufacturing and office layouts.
    • Attend engineering reviews and team meetings to learn about mechanical systems integration.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
    • Experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
    • Basic knowledge of construction and engineering principles.
    • Completed coursework in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
    • Roles are available in Long Beach, California; Cape Canaveral, Florida; and Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.
    • This position is on-site.
    • Interns at Stennis Space Center and Cape Canaveral must provide their own transportation.
