About the role#
Rembrandt Foods is hiring an Operations Intern to work within our egg processing facility. This role provides exposure to operations, engineering, maintenance, accounting, safety, human resources, and sales. The goal is to prepare individuals for a potential shift supervisor role within 6 to 12 months.
What you'll do#
- Shadow supervisors and employees to learn all areas of the processing facility.
- Lead projects as assigned.
- Collaborate across different functions.
- Establish measurable criteria to track results and provide management with regular progress reports.
- Identify training needs and assist in deploying training techniques.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture, poultry science, or food science.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness.
- Willingness to work on all shifts, including weekends.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Preference is given to candidates with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, previous manufacturing plant experience, or bilingual skills in Spanish.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship located in Rembrandt, Iowa.
- The term is rolling.
