About the role#
KENT Nutrition, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE family, is looking for a Plant Operations Intern for Summer 2027. This is a hands-on, paid position where you will apply classroom knowledge to manufacturing and production challenges. You will work with experienced professionals to support process improvement initiatives and technical projects.
What you'll do#
- Lead and support projects focused on process and equipment improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, sustainability, and product quality.
- Collaborate with teams across engineering, maintenance, production, and quality.
- Learn about feed manufacturing processes and production systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
- Analyze equipment downtime and performance data to find improvement opportunities.
- Partner with plant leadership and maintenance teams to create practical solutions.
- Evaluate operational processes and conduct cost-saving analyses.
- Help develop, maintain, and promote quality and safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Feed Science and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Agricultural Systems Technology.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in an operational environment is a plus, but not required.
