About the role#
KENT WORLDWIDE is looking for a Division Engineer Co-Op to provide technical and engineering support to the operations team at Grain Processing Corporation. This role involves managing projects from the initial concept through to production and troubleshooting process issues on the floor.
What you'll do#
- Manage capital and expense projects including financial justification, purchasing, and budget tracking.
- Initiate process and equipment modifications to improve safety, energy use, and profitability.
- Create training documentation for maintenance and operators.
- Monitor equipment downtime records to identify and fix recurring issues.
- Work directly with operations staff to troubleshoot and resolve daily process challenges.
- Calculate material balances and develop project plans or timelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program for Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks.
- Previous experience in a corn wet milling or similar industrial process is a plus.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

- This position is based on-site in Muscatine, Iowa.
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position.
- Limited travel up to 10 percent may be required for training or business needs.
