About the role#
The Development Engineering Intern will join our Facilities and Process Engineering teams in The Woodlands. You will support the design, optimization, and execution of surface facilities and infrastructure for upstream oil and gas development. This role provides direct exposure to project engineering, process modeling, and field development planning. You will work alongside experienced engineers on active projects and present your findings at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, modeling, and optimization of surface facilities, including oil, gas, and water separation equipment.
- Perform basic process simulations using software tools like Aspen HYSYS or ProMax.
- Support equipment sizing calculations and the development of preliminary PFDs and P&IDs.
- Help prepare project scopes of work, cost estimates, bid packages, and project schedules.
- Analyze production, pressure, and facility performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
- A cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Full authorization to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other engineering calculation tools.
- Availability for a continuous 12-week period from May 17th to August 6th, 2027.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in The Woodlands, Texas.

- This position is paid, though it does not include standard employee benefits.
- Non-local candidates are responsible for their own travel and housing arrangements, though a summer stipend is provided.
