About the role#
This is a paid, 12-week summer internship based in Houston. You will work 40 hours per week in a warehouse setting to gain hands-on experience in operations, inventory, communications, and sales. At the end of the program, you will present a project to company leadership.
What you'll do#
- Participate in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, order pulling, and product stocking.
- Manage inventory through cycle counts, bin adjustments, and general stock maintenance.
- Learn to use distribution software and ERP systems.
- Gain exposure to counter sales.
- Complete a ride along with an outside sales representative.
- Earn forklift certification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Supply Chain Management or Industrial Distribution program.
- Ability to work the full 12-week term, including potential rotating Saturdays.
- Capacity to work in an unconditioned warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs without machinery assistance.
- Physical stamina for continuous walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
- You must provide your own housing and transportation.
- No prior warehouse experience is required.
