About the role#
As a Technology Risk Consulting Intern at RSM, you will work with businesses across industries such as manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and private equity. You will gain hands-on experience with direct access to business owners and executive management. Each intern is assigned a Performance Advisor to support their professional development throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Learn about client needs, their specific industries, and their internal control systems.
- Help design and optimize controls by applying knowledge of business processes and information technology.
- Use critical thinking to identify internal control deficiencies and evaluate risk implications to advise clients.
- Create internal control documentation to support client engagements.
- Work with client leadership on strategies to anticipate emerging technology risks.
- Participate in projects such as SOX compliance, SOC reporting, IT controls testing for financial audits, and internal audits over ERP and security systems.
What you'll need#
- Completion of 90 credit hours toward a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- A high degree of integrity and professionalism.
- Capacity to work well as a member of a team.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full time, paid internship.
- Modality: On-site, with potential travel to client locations required.
