About the role#
This internship introduces you to the field of public accounting. You will work as a full time team member for at least eight weeks. The firm provides an orientation to cover professional matters, and you will work with a Career Advocate to set personal goals for your time here.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and staff members.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client sites.
- Handle compliance tasks for Federal, State, Local, and Wealth-Management practice areas.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
- Analyze internal controls to build your understanding of firm processes.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior academic standing.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
