About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting. You will work as a full-time team member for at least eight weeks. The firm assigns you a Career Advocate to help you set and meet personal goals. You will receive an orientation covering administrative and professional topics, along with training on our accounting and tax software.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and team members.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client sites.
- Handle compliance tasks for Federal, State, and Local taxation.
- Analyze internal controls.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in college.
- Coursework in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
