About the role#
S&B is looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to handle routine assignments under close supervision. You will apply standard design techniques and procedures to support our engineering projects. This role involves working within a multi-discipline team and requires daily face-to-face interaction with your colleagues.
What you'll do#
- Prepare basic design sketches and perform calculations for equipment and systems.
- Gather data at existing plants to help prepare equipment specifications and purchase requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of equipment lists, load summaries, design guides, and contract proposals.
- Participate in plant start-ups and field assignments.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and deliver successful projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Working knowledge of computer software and automated engineering equipment.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
