About the role#
S&ME is hiring interns for the 2027 Spark Summer Program. This is a full-time, twelve-week internship running from May 2027 through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in civil, environmental, construction, or geotechnical engineering while working with professional and technical employee-owners.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with experienced staff on engineering projects.
- Join an intern cohort to learn about different aspects of the firm.
- Participate in professional development programs to help with your transition from campus to career.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a related degree program, specifically Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Preference is given to rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capability to lift 40 to 50 lbs.
- Prior experience or leadership roles in campus, community, or work settings are preferred.
Location & details#
- Position is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- This is an on-site role.
- Out of town travel may be required.
- Candidates must meet the requirements of the company Fleet Management Program and Substance Policy.
