About the role#
Saga Education is hiring Federal Work-Study Math Tutors to support student academic growth. This is a part-time, remote position that runs on a rolling basis through May 2026. You will work with a small caseload of students to provide individualized instruction during the school day.
What you'll do#
- Provide high-dosage, high-impact math tutoring to an assigned caseload of students.
- Implement math curriculum to help students meet their academic goals.
- Act as an advocate and mentor to build meaningful relationships with your students.
- Prepare for sessions using the Saga Curriculum or district resources.
- Manage technical tasks, including navigating various software and troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Maintain communication by checking and responding to emails proactively.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at CUNY.
- Eligibility for the Federal Work-study program.
- Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a background screening and all security requirements.
- Access to a personal computer with audio and visual capabilities, reliable high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to manage your time and work as a self-starter.
- Willingness to maintain an on-camera presence during tutoring sessions.

- This role is remote and based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The position is part-time and paid.
