About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Sage, you will join a product engineering team as a full member from your first day. You will contribute to the roadmap, participate in standups, review pull requests, and ship production code. You will work closely with an experienced engineer who will provide mentorship and feedback throughout the summer. This internship runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Ship production code as part of a product engineering team.
- Build user-facing experiences using React and TypeScript.
- Develop backend services in Java to support care workflows.
- Write tests and participate in code reviews.
- Partner with product managers and designers to deliver features.
What you'll need#
- Strong programming fundamentals in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with web fundamentals, including APIs, HTTP, and databases.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaboration.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Evidence of building things through coursework or projects.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Data Science.
