    About the role#

    Sanofi is seeking a Co-op for the Genomic Medicine Unit in Waltham, Massachusetts. This 6-month position focuses on viral vector purification processes. You will work within a team responsible for the design and optimization of manufacturing platforms. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and collaboration across functions including engineering, analytics, and clinical manufacturing.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, execute, and analyze viral vector purification experiments.
    • Perform analytical characterization of samples and interpret results.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and present your findings.
    • Contribute to technical reports or external publications based on your project.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a PhD, MS, or BS in biological sciences, genetic engineering, or engineering sciences.
    • Enrollment in an accredited college or university for the duration of the co-op.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Waltham and relocate if necessary.
    • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
    • Knowledge of concepts in molecular biology, virology, immunology, and cell engineering.
    • Experience with laboratory techniques such as chromatography, filtration, and viral clearance.
    • Familiarity with analytical tools like SEC-HPLC, ddPCR, qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, or FACS.
    • Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 environment while following safe lab procedures and GLPs.
    • Understanding of Quality by Design principles and DOE applications.

    • Location: Waltham, Massachusetts.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (6 months).
    • Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
    • Compensation: $27.00 - $60.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
