About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join a project team within the Nuclear Power Group. You will work under the direction of senior engineers to support project execution and design tasks. This role is a full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and associated data.
- Design new systems or modify existing power plant and industrial facility components.
- Solve engineering problems using modern tools like automation and AI to improve workflows.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong academic background in mechanical systems analysis, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site in Englewood, Colorado.
- The position is paid with a compensation range of $18.00 to $30.00 per hour.
